MultiChoice Ghana has reassured customers that it fully supports the government’s recently announced DStv value upgrade, dismissing concerns over a supposed contradiction between its promotional campaign and a ministerial statement.
The clarification follows confusion sparked by an FAQ section on MultiChoice’s website, which appeared inconsistent with remarks made by the Minister of Communication, Samuel Nartey George, about the upgrade. The company admitted the FAQ was published in error and apologised for the misunderstanding.
In a statement released on October 1, 2025, MultiChoice outlined three key points:
-
The company is fully aligned with Samuel Nartey George’s announcement and has already begun implementing the DStv package value upgrade.
-
A review committee will reconvene in three months to assess the initiative’s impact, indicating that the rollout will be monitored and adjusted if necessary.
-
The offer is open to all DStv customers—new, existing, or returning—without restrictions on bouquet selection.
The company further emphasised its commitment to ensuring that customers benefit from the enhanced value packages while assuring the public that any confusion caused by the FAQ has been resolved.
