According to the GRA, many of the indebted state-owned enterprises attributed their defaults to persistent cash flow difficulties.
The Authority further disclosed that Value Added Tax (VAT) arrears totaling GH¢116 million remain outstanding. This was confirmed by Edward Apenteng Gyamerah, Commissioner for Domestic Tax Revenue.
Mr. Sarpong assured the Committee that the GRA is intensifying enforcement measures to recover the outstanding amounts and strengthen tax compliance across institutions.
