ECG Launches Nationwide "ALL MUST PAY" Campaign to Recover Customer Arrears

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced the rollout of a nationwide revenue mobilisation initiative dubbed “Operation ALL MUST PAY”, aimed at recovering outstanding debts from all categories of customers.

Scheduled to run from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25, 2025, the campaign targets residential, commercial, industrial, and government consumers with unpaid bills.

Dr. Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, ECG’s General Manager for External Communications, stated that the initiative is a strategic move to reinforce financial stability and improve service delivery.

“This campaign covers all ECG customers. We are deploying dedicated teams to ensure full compliance, and we will be on high alert for illegal connections or any attempts to reconnect power without clearance,” Dr. Ayiku noted.

He emphasized that outstanding debts continue to undermine ECG’s operations and that prompt bill payments are essential. Customers are urged to settle their arrears promptly to avoid disconnection and the added cost of reconnection fees.

Dr. Ayiku also encouraged the use of secure and approved payment channels, particularly the ECG Mobile App, which is available on the Google Play Store. He cautioned against falling victim to fraudsters promoting fake payment platforms.

“The success of the ‘ALL MUST PAY’ campaign is key to enhancing ECG’s financial health and guaranteeing consistent, reliable electricity supply across Ghana,” he said.

In addition to bill collection, ECG teams will conduct meter inspections and engage directly with customers to address technical or operational concerns.

Customers are strongly advised to act immediately if they have outstanding balances to prevent service interruptions. For further details, ECG recommends visiting its official website or following its verified social media platforms for real-time updates.
