Ghanaian singer Cina Soul has raised alarm over threats made against her by actor Big Akwes, following the circulation of a disturbing video in which he allegedly expressed a desire to harm her.

“@GhPoliceService I’m deeply unsettled by this. I initially chose not to respond to earlier comments because I do not wish to be associated with this individual but at this point, I feel genuinely threatened.” “@samgeorgegh, @mocghana I may not know the proper channels to report this but it's critical we take a firm stance against this kind of dangerous rhetoric being broadcast on our TV and radio platforms. We must not normalise hate.”
“TV and radio platforms must not become spaces where hate is normalised,” she added, calling for greater accountability in the media space.
The viral video shows Big Akwes making troubling remarks about Cina Soul, stating openly that he harbor's strong hatred for her and would be content if given the opportunity to physically assault her.
Cina Soul's call for help has sparked public concern, with many urging the police to investigate the threats and ensure her safety.
