Veteran actor and comedian Akwasi Boadi, popularly known as Akrobeto, was involved in a car accident on Friday morning while traveling to Kumasi. The incident reportedly occurred near Konongo in the Ashanti Region.
According to a video shared by UTVGhana on Instagram, the host of The Real News on UTV was seen speaking with concerned bystanders moments after the crash. While visibly shaken, Akrobeto appeared unharmed, and no serious injuries have been reported.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that an articulator truck carrying a container struck the rear of his vehicle, shattering the back windshield and causing significant damage to the car’s rear end.

Social media users have since expressed relief and gratitude for the actor's safety, drawing emotional comparisons to past tragic road accidents that claimed the lives of Ghanaian celebrities such as Ebony Reigns and Kwame Owusu Ansah.
Akrobeto is one of Ghana’s most beloved comic actors, having appeared in over 100 Kumawood films. In recent years, his unique comedic style and viral news segments have gained international recognition, with clips of his performances featured by presenters on CNN and other global platforms.
As of now, Akrobeto has not made an official statement regarding the incident, but fans and well-wishers continue to extend support and prayers for his well-being.
