National Service Cancels June Registration, Announces Fresh Exercise from October 8

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced a new registration window for the 2025/2026 service year, which will open on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, and close on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

This follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahama after a Technical and Forensic Audit of the previous Central Service Management Platform (CSMP) revealed major flaws in the system’s performance. The President subsequently instructed the NSA to develop a more secure, transparent, and efficient digital platform to enhance real-time verification and data integrity.

In a statement, the Authority declared that all online registrations completed in June 2025 are null and void, and therefore, all prospective service personnel must re-register. The decision, it explained, stems from concerns over data inconsistencies, including age discrepancies, identified during the audit.

The NSA assured affected applicants that all legitimate registrants from the June exercise will receive full refunds of their service fees.

“All previous registrations from June 2025 have been declared null and void. Every prospective service personnel must re-register on the new platform,” the statement read.

The Authority added that detailed step-by-step registration guidelines will be published on its new official website, www.gnsa.gov.gh, beginning Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The NSA also announced the rollout of comprehensive IT reforms and internal controls designed to combat payroll fraud, improve transparency, and ensure timely payment of allowances. It said the Authority is collaborating with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to strengthen financial management and will conduct periodic system audits to maintain accountability.

According to the statement, all national service personnel are to report to their assigned stations on Saturday, November 1, 2025, ahead of the official start of the 2025/2026 service year on Monday, November 3, 2025.
