ECG Rolls Out “Operation All Must Pay” to Recover Outstanding Debts Nationwide

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has launched a nationwide debt recovery drive dubbed “Operation All Must Pay” to collect outstanding payments from customers across the country.

The campaign, which commenced on Tuesday, September 9, will run until Tuesday, September 30, 2025. It targets all categories of customers in arrears, including residential users, businesses, industries, and government institutions such as Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

According to ECG, the exercise will cover bill distribution, as well as the capturing and reporting of streetlight and SHEP meters.

Special task teams have been deployed to monitor the campaign, with the mandate to arrest and prosecute individuals engaged in illegal connections, unauthorised reconnections, or any attempts to obstruct the process.

The company is urging customers with unpaid bills to clear their debts promptly to avoid disconnection and the extra cost of reconnection fees. ECG further encouraged the public to use official payment platforms, such as the ECG Mobile App or nearby ECG offices, for bill settlements and assistance.

The initiative, ECG explained, is aimed at improving revenue collection, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring a stable and reliable power supply across the country.
