The Ashanti Regional Police Command has outlined traffic arrangements ahead of the one-week observance of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, who passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 98. Her death was formally announced by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, during an Asanteman Council meeting on Monday, August 11.
In a statement signed by DSP Godwin Ahianyo, Head of Public Relations, the Police indicated that all major roads leading to the Manhyia Palace will be closed on Thursday, August 21, to facilitate the funeral rites.

Motorists have been advised to comply with diversion routes and designated parking arrangements. The statement further noted that rickshaws, tricycles, and motorbikes will not be allowed in or around the Manhyia Palace during the event.
To ease transportation, shuttle services will operate from key pickup points, including the Asawasi Methodist Park and the Central Mosque Car Park.
The Police also cautioned that vehicles parked in unauthorized areas will be towed without hesitation.
