Lawyer Bernard Bediako Baidoo has won the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary in the Akwatia Constituency, securing the party’s ticket for the upcoming September 2 by-election.
Baidoo, who also serves as the NDC’s constituency secretary, polled 380 out of 980 valid votes to beat two rivals — his client and former Akwatia MP, Henry Boakye Yiadom (popularly known as Okoyo), and Rasmus Koneh Ali (alias Asanka Poyooyo).
