The Bank Hospital has firmly denied allegations of breaching medical confidentiality in the treatment of legendary Ghanaian musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away at the facility on July 26, 2025.
In an official statement, the hospital addressed growing concerns and social media speculation, stating that all medical procedures and communications concerning the late artist were handled with the utmost professionalism and in accordance with ethical standards.
“The care provided to Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosu was delivered with professionalism, dignity, and strict confidentiality,” the statement read. The hospital also emphasized that Daddy Lumba’s family was fully involved throughout his treatment process.
In response to the allegations, the hospital has launched an internal review to assess the circumstances of his admission and medical care, reinforcing its dedication to maintaining trust and high standards in patient care.
The management urged the public to avoid circulating unverified information and to rely on credible sources for updates.
The hospital concluded by expressing its heartfelt condolences to Daddy Lumba’s family, the government, and fans across Ghana and the diaspora, describing the late musician as a national treasure.
