A fierce blaze has erupted at Madina Ritz Junction in Accra, consuming several wooden structures and prompting a swift emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
In an update shared on its official Facebook page on Tuesday, July 15, the GNFS confirmed the deployment of three fire engines from the Madina, Legon, and Abelemkpe stations to combat the inferno.

“Rigorous firefighting operations are currently underway,” the service announced, as personnel continue efforts to contain the flames and prevent further spread.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and there have been no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities. Given the densely packed nature of the wooden structures, the risk of rapid fire spread is high, intensifying the urgency of the response.
The GNFS, while urging the public to remain calm, assured that its dedicated firefighters are working diligently to bring the situation under control.
