KFC resumes Zimbabwe operations

International fast food chain KFC re-opened its stores in Zimbabwe on Friday after close to a month.
KFC shut down its operations in the southern African country after the nation was hit by foreign currency challenges that resulted in rising prices of most goods.
“We are excited to announce that we will be reopening our restaurants across Zimbabwe today,” the firm said in a statement.
KFC operates six outlets in Zimbabwe.
The fast food chain had initially said it suspended operations due to what it termed as pressure on the country’s economy.
Most retailers responded to the pressure by hiking prices even as some goods were in little supply.
