Six people, including a toddler, have been injured by stray bullets at Kwabenakwa in the Obuasi East District of the Ashanti Region.

The incident reportedly occurred after a man involved in a chieftaincy dispute allegedly fired shots in celebration following a court ruling that favoured his family’s faction.

Eyewitnesses identified the suspect as Kofi Cole, who, after hearing the verdict, gathered some relatives and boarded a tricycle to jubilate. During the celebration, he is said to have fired several shots into the air, resulting in stray bullets striking bystanders.
