The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that sections of the Central, Eastern, Tema, and Greater Accra Regions will experience temporary power outages on Thursday, October 2, 2025, to allow for planned maintenance works.
According to the company, the exercise is aimed at improving service reliability and ensuring a more stable power supply across its operational areas.
Central Region
Power will be interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Apam Station, Roundabout, Castle, Amamodo, Cocoa House, Bomboa, Apam Come Down, Gomoa Mankoadze, and nearby communities.

Eastern Region
Residents of Oda township, Achiase, Aprade, Akenkansu, Asene, Manso, Asuboa, Swedru, Awisa, Asawase, Aduasa, and surrounding areas will also be affected during the same period.
Tema Region
In the Tema enclave, maintenance will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Affected areas include Community 26, Shanghai, Kpone Township, Youth With A Mission, Maruku Hotel, Puma, C& Medical Center, Spintex Junction, KFC, Texpo, and nearby communities.
Greater Accra Region
From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., outages will affect New Bortianor, Adanseman, Cassava Farm, Mr Obeng Block Factory, Oshiyie, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie, Ayikai, Doblo, Akramaman, Ghana International School, Hisense Warehouse, and Legon Hills.
ECG has apologised to customers for the inconvenience and assured the public that the planned exercise forms part of efforts to enhance a more reliable and efficient power supply.
