The Coalition of Unpaid Newly Posted Teachers, made up of graduates from Colleges of Education and universities, has hit the streets of Accra to demand payment of outstanding salary arrears.
The group says some members have worked for up to 13 months without pay, even though they were officially posted and are actively teaching in schools across the country.
The protest, which began on the morning of Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Obra Spot near Nkrumah Circle, saw the teachers march through key government institutions, including the Jubilee House and the Ministry of Education, before converging on the Ministry of Finance.

Leaders of the coalition explained that their action is intended to force authorities to clear the arrears and issue the staff ID cards required to process their salaries.
They described the situation as unfair and demoralizing, vowing to continue demonstrating until their concerns are addressed.
