Nduom has damaged my reputation – CEO of Asabea Construction

Asabea Engineering and Construction Limited, one of the company’s which featured in the Group Nduom list of debtors, has denied owing Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.

Chief Executive Officer of the construction firm, Samuel Ofori Larbi, said the loan the company took from then GN bank was paid last year by COCOBOD.

Mr Larbi, who seemed very furious, said he is in talks with his lawyers and will take legal action against Dr Nduom for defaming him.

“Papa Kwesi Nduom has disappointed me. We don’t owe him. The money we took from him was paid back just last year by COCOBOD. His men came for the cheque and so he should find out from his men and so I will meet him in court,” he cried on Accra based Okay FM.

As part of the processes initiated by the President and Chairman of Groupe Nduom, Dr Nduom through the Gold Coast Fund Management (GCFM) to recover investment funds and pay aggrieved customers of their locked-up investments, a list of companies and individuals indebted to GCFM has been released.

The list included construction companies and top firms in different sectors of the economy.

But Mr Larbi, who claimed his firm is worth over GH¢ 400 million, is wondering why Group Nduom did not write to him concerning his debt but waited for over 11 years to add his firm to his debt list.

“My construction firm does not owe anyone. I can tell you authoritatively that my construction firm knows how to go about with our works and won’t allow people to defame us. I am able to discharge my duties very well. I have really been helpful when it comes to construction,” he noted.
