Audio: First female Chief of Staff reveals why she has excelled

Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare has admitted that her current job is the most challenging and toughest among her career choices.

She noted that having to manage over 100 ministers and thousands of government appointees required someone with tact.

According to her, what has made her excel in the role that has previously been held by mostly men is her humility.

As Ghana’s first female Chief of Staff appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017, the 69-year-old development consultant said she had to work extra hard to be accepted.

“My job is very tough but with my 40 years experience as a labour and employment expert, I’m able to surmount all the challenges,” she stated.

The Chief of Staff added that the President, vice, her duties and other workers at the Flagstaff House have been of tremendous help in the discharge of her duties.
