I’m the king of highlife and I’m ready to defend my crown – KK Fosu brags

Ghanaian high-life artist, KK Fosu, has stated clearly that he’s the king of Highlife and for that matter, he’s ready to defend his crown even though he’s not been consistent in the industry.

During a performance on TV3’s Music Music show, KK Fosu, who was great with the live band, in the middle of his performance paused and said he’s the king of Highlife and that he was ready to defend his crown, “I am the vocal god, I am the king of Highlife. I am ever ready to defend that crown, my crown, any day, anywhere, any time. Tell them that we don’t stop.”

KK Fosu is known for songs like Adwen (Suudwe), Anadwo Ye De, Kyere Me, Oga, 6 O’clock among others. He has featured on the works of artists like Obrafour, Nkasei, Deeba, Reggie Rockstone and many others.

The battle for supremacy in a particular genre is nothing new in the music industry.

For years, the two biggest music factions in Ghana currently is Stonebwoy’s Bhim Nation and Shatta Wale’s Shatta Movement. Their respective leaders have over the years battle it out for who’s the king of Ghanaian and African dancehall.

Sarkodie and M.anifest were involved in a feud over who rules rap music with the latter saying he was the god mc meaning he was bigger than King Sark.
