Pope Francis is set to tour Morocco in March 2019, the Vatican has announced.
The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Greg Burke, announced on Tuesday that Pope Francis would visit Morocco from the 30th to the 31st of March 2019, in what is expected to be a heavy year of foreign travel for the 81-year-old pontiff.
The AP reports that the pope is expected in Panama in January for World Youth Day.
In addition, he has said he hopes to visit Japan, while a Madagascar cardinal says he’s expected next year.

During the two day visit, Pope Francis will visit the cities of Rabat and Casablanca
The March visit is likely to feature migration, as well as touch on relations between Christians and Muslims.

Pope Francis has several trips under consideration for 2019, though Morocco is the first to be confirmed.
