Mahama urges calm in N/R NDC 21 hours ago

Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on feuding parties within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region to resort to dialogue to “resolve any misunderstanding”.
Reports suggest there is bad blood between the regional chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila, and regional secretary Sualisu Be-Awuribe.
The misunderstanding got to a head on Saturday when Mr Be-Awuribe and the regional Treasurer, Kassim Bakari, were attacked by some unknown assailants.
The two regional executives had accused Alhaji Mobila of masterminding the assault.
A statement issued by the John Mahama 2020 Campaign Team on Saturday said the former president has urged the rank and file to remain calm.
It said he has even gotten in touch with the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, and other Members of Parliament from the Region to have the matter resolved.
The Council of Elders is said to be also part of the arbitration process.
